Postby edin » Fri Feb 24, 2012 11:18 am

I have an S-Corp since 2008 Agust but never run it, no revenue,no bank accounts, never paid any taxes.because did not have any income...

i started to think run my own business so what should i do ? should i close this company and get new company with the new name ? Or should i keep it and try to fix problems
i did not have a SSN before . My ex lawyer did not use my SSN when he was registering for the company but now i have SSN ...

1- how can i change my company adress ?

2 -Do i owe taxes ? since 2008

3- Do i have to add report my SSN to my company ?

If you need funding and have good credit or a cosigner visit here. There is also an option available to people with Questionable credit.

As far as keeping your S Corp opened and running. I would say that if it has the potential of earning income then by all means. As far as your SSN, what you can do is file for a FREE EIN number with teh IRS that keeps your SSN separate from the company's.
An EIN (Employee ID number) is basically a SSN that they assign to your company for tax purposes.
To Change your company address is dependent on the place you're moving to.
BUT to change the company Address you simply go to city hall and fill our their business registry form to let them know you're there. Cost is about $20 to $50 depending on where you are.

Do you Owe Taxes since 08 ~ If the company hasn't made any money then it has nothing to report. To the IRS a business is just like a working person. No income = no taxes.

If you have anymore questions feel free to contact me and ask away.

It just simpler to close it and start over, since it had no activity you can do it with one form.
It is more headache, cost and potential problems to do everything else.
As for the tax, in theory you do owe (minimum Corp Tax for every open + penalties for not filing), in realty because there was no activity, the IRS waives this and lets you just close the company.
