Since 1900 - 3 first term Gov's have just quit - 2 of them due to sexual junk - why did #3 Palin quit?

I know they say it was due to having to pay for legal allegations by the Dems.

but what about (even if that is true) values, integrity, etc.

I mean - how many would love to be Governor of a US State - that means so much - imagine that on a resume.

I feel that she could have done something else - like declare bankruptcy or - since she is the Governor of that State - change that law - the one where she has to pay.

All that is conjecture as I am nor from there and do not understand why a Gov would quit.

Possibly, it was because it had been revealed she had once dated and bedded with a black NBA player. Miami Heat player, I think. This is in the book THE ROGUE:Searching for the Real Sarah Palin by Joel McGinnis. So. I suppose the answer would be this sexual liaison. McGinnis is that writer that moved into the house next door to the Palins.Remember that story^!

She wanted to maintain her popularity and to make money, She needed the free time to tour the country and speaking for high fees and she was smart enough to know the a sitting Governor would take a hit for the bad economy, especial if they were not staying home looking like they were doing something about it.


Values, integrity, etc are not things most people think of in connection with either making money or politics.

she weighed her options and decided to be the celebrity she accused president obama of being. only thing is she fell a little short. she only got a book deal and a short lived reality show.
