Small bussiness advice?

Postby blaisdell » Sun Jun 24, 2012 6:05 pm

Hi
We are now in the very final stages of creating a small business. The business will be split between three people, two of which will have a 45% share and the other partner 10%.
I assume in the event of any disagreement the partner holding 10% of shares may find himself in a position of power to influence the direction of the business. And to add complication the other two partners are brothers.
I do not have any immediate concerns about the arrangement, however I think it prudent to try and address this issue at early stage. I am keen to ensure that everything is fair from the offset.
We have a meeting with a lawyer, how would I address these concerns or is this the reality of the business?
What other items do I need to address? Any help or assistance would be most appreciated.
