Smoking in cars on private property?

Hi there, Just a quick question.

Is it against the law to smoke in your own car on private property? I heard what ever you do on private property in your car is up to you? If it's legal to smoke on a company private property car park in your car could someone show me to the law or proof that it's legal with a website please

This is still illegal.

Imagine if you took your slleping bag to the public library and had a smoke inside. You would still be on public land.

If it is private property, the owner can make any rules they want. If they do not allow smoking on their property and your car is parked on their property, they can tell you that you are not allowed to smoke in your car. Perfectly legal for them to make those rules.
My husband is a truck driver and drives in several states. There are many places that the drivers are not allowed to smoke on the company's property even if they are in the bunk of their own truck.

It is, for example, illegal to smoke on a hospital or school campus in this county, including the parking lots. The law does apply to private schools and corporate hospitals. (The fine is $25.)

Smoking laws are almost entirely local in nature. What is legal in Sydney Australia may be illegal in San Francisco California, but legal in Bombay India.

Without knowing where you are, no-one can guess what the law is there.

Of course, even if there is no "law" against smoking in your car on private property, the property owner still has the right to ban it.

Perfectly legal, Just make sure the butte doesn't leave your car either.
