Jimmy Tango(Stallone) and Gabriel Money(Russell) are two highly-successful Los-Angeles-based drugs police, who function in various precincts and can't stand one another due to their greatly different designs. Dance is just a sleek, structured entrepreneur who uses the day using the Wall Street Journal, while Money is just a careless bachelor within the custom of Martin Riggs. Involving the two of these, they've taken huge amount of money of drugs and guns that fit in with crimelord Yves Perret(Palance).
The film begins with Ray Dance in his Cadillac Allante, driving along a desert road, seeking a tractor-trailer. While Dance attempts to move the vehicle, the vehicle blocks the move. Fundamentally, Dance gets around, and pushes a significantly enough length in front of the vehicle. He draws out his.357 Magnum and launches two bullets within the window, ultimately inducing the vehicle to prevent, and also the guests to become under charge. Ray Tango and Gabriel Cash are narcotics detectives who, while both being extremely successful, can't stand each other. Crime Lord Yves Perret, furious at the loss of income that Tango and Cash have caused him, frames the two for murder. Caught with the murder weapon on the scene of the crime, the two have alibi. Thrown into prison with most of the criminals they helped convict, it appears that they are going to have to trust each other if they are to clear their names and catch
