Tennessee Laws on material possesion for teens?

Im 17 years old, and Ive had as much as I can with my step mom. She is pushing me from the family, and threatening to take my own tablet. I need to know the law regarding what she can take. I bought most of my stuff with my own money. I need to know if she can legally take my stuff

If you are a minor, then you own nothing even if you paid for it, your parents own everything you have.

So if your step-mom gets authorization from your father or mother to take away your stuff, she can do it.

Keep a low profile until you turn 18, then she wont be able to touch your stuff.

If you're 17, you're a minor, and you don't HAVE any of your own money or possessions. Your guardian owns everything. So, yes. She can 'legally take your stuff" until you're 18.
