Testicular Atrophy

Testicular Atrophy

Postby Peadar » Wed Jan 22, 2014 11:55 pm

I have a friend that suffers from testicular atrophy, numbness and impotency after a bilateral inguinal hernia repair he had five years ago.  I'm a nurse and this definitely looks like a botched surgery to me.  The poor guy has also suffered from depression after this procedure basically castrated him. I would definitely like to find an attorney in Texas that can help him receive some sort of restitution.

Testicular Atrophy

I don't know what the statute of limtations is in Texas, but he should see a good malpractice lawyer. He should not waste any time. Tell him to call his Bar Association for a list of malpractice lawyers and he should call them. I am sure out of a bunch he will find one who will take his case. The statute in most states has some leeway.

I am going to take advantage of you, and I hope you do not object. I receive 'questions' from doctors who enjoy telling questioners to this site that I am too old, suffer from Alzheimers and apparently hate doctors. One of the recent ones told me that the patient(his patient) had gone to a lawyer who called him to say he told the patient she was contemplating a 'frivolous' lawsuit. This doctor thought that was amusing. Well,  that note told me two things. First he had injured his patient and secomd, that his lawyer friend was an unreliable unethical attorney who sooner or later would betray that doctor. For those of you who may be interested, go to my web page www.malpracticequestions.com. There you will learn that I am old, aged 92. I have more than 70 years of intelligent observation of medical care in this country. I have worked for 'health' insurance companies, doctors'liability insurance companies, Blue Cross and a couple of others. I was an employee of the Califrnia Health Department as an investigator for more than 19 years during which time I talked to thousands of patients who wrote complaints about their hospital and medical care.I have written two books on medical malpractice. My day job during all these years was as a writer. I still have some books in print. Like George Burns who also was quite old, I do sometimes forget names and nouns. Otherwise I am capable of caring for myself and answering questions on this site. I believe I know a little more about malpractice than most doctors. I wonder why the doctors who complain about my answers here are so fearful. Perhaps they have something to hide. Check out malpracticve statistics on Google. Maybe you will find the basis for the lack of confidence some of these doctors express.
