Texas marriage license(common law)?

Ok so my hubby and I have been married by common law since 2008 and have we DO have an informal marriage license we are currently planning our wedding through the church which will be this september however I am really confused as to how/what/if we would need to get a new license so far what I have found online may indicate that I may need to get a license for Renewal of Vows or Secret Marriage Remarriage. Is there anyone that has any advice or in a similar situation? Does anyone know what the process may be?
