The US drug policy forces underage drug use?

Well not exactly, but when you think about it, US law makes it less risky for one to use illegal drugs while one is a minor than if they were an adult, as the punishments are MUCH more leniant. Are we not trying to prevent the young from using drugs rather than encouraging them? How could the law be changed to prevent this, as it is quite a big flaw...

Legalizing drugs would make then harder to get.

It's easier for kids to get ahold of weed and cocaine than cigarettes and alcohol.

And there shouldn't be a puniahment for uaing drugs. Society has no obligations at all. People do. Individuals and parents.
