You know those stories where there are two really good friends then a new girl in town comes along and their friendship starts to suffer the consequences when feelings start to develop?
Yep.
My story.
Last Sunday, my friends and I were playing basketball when the girl that my friend and I are in love with gets hit in the eye and nose area. I saw how caring he was, how he wrapped his arms around her and took her aside to rest, and I *SWEAR* to the stars, I saw red! And how sweet they were to each other. He didn't want to get back into the game while she wasn't okay! He only got back in when she got irritated and pushed him back into the court.
And he calls her cousins *HIS* cousins, her sisters *HIS* sisters, etcetera!
Like he's part of the family--or about to be. In a sweet, teasing, flaunting sort of way. Like, "There goes my cousin!" Or "Hey, can I borrow your charger? 'Cause my sister wants to borrow my iPhone."
Then my friends and I go, "Wait! Lisa's not here! What are you talking about?"
Then he goes, "I wasn't talking about Lisa, I was talking about Christine." (Christine is the girl's younger sister.)
Like that. Like they're *ALREADY* his in-laws or something.
I swear I *WANTED* nothing more than to sock him. How do you not ruin a good friendship over a girl?
And he keeps rubbing it in that he got the girl and I didn't! That's what irritates me!
Again, let me reiterate, this isn't about a "guy thing" or a "bromance" ruined by a girl. This ABOUT a girl. A rivalry. I'm in love with the girl and want her for myself and it pisses me off that my best friend got her first and she's reciprocating--and he's rubbing it in, flaunting her.
