Traffic lights were out of controll so I stopped & then went pass it but a camera flash & caught me; now what?

I am from SoCal. I was visiting Sacramento and it was late at night around midnight. After having visited the capitol, I was on my way back to my hotel. However, all the street lights were going crazy! Traffic lights were blinking yellow or red here and there. So I would stop at each traffic light and then go like you would at a stop sign. However, it came to the point before I entered the freeway, there was a street light and right when I crossed it, camera flashed and I guess it caught my license.
I know I will have a ticket for this.
Has this ever happened to anyone? Will I be able to go to court and explain to them and not be charged for traffic fines?
