Transferred Out Before End-Of Rental, Am I Responsible For Book?

Postby Sheron » Tue Jun 17, 2014 5:24 am

Our issue entails landlord-tenant legislation within the State-Of: Wisconsin.
Rent is from March to March. I settled Mayis lease and shifted out in April. Me and my boyfriend split up and also the living condition was no further operating. A buddy decided to assist him with lease and so I might move-out. I spoke to my landlord to see him I had been shifting out prior to the lease-end. He offered me a treatment from rent type to complete and return but my old boyfriend needed to signal it and complete an application stating he'd revenue. I returned later to obtain some possessions and experienced a battle with my ex and that I wound up calling the police. The police got my secrets from me since I have told them he was getting me off the rent. Our ex explained I had been off the rent. Simply his month-he explained I had been still about the rental and that I owed him going back 4 weeks rent and also have to pay for rent. Paid septembers hire. I can not afford rent each month. Am I responsible for half of the lease despite the fact that we never closed an arrangement saying we'd each pay half? If he requires me to courtroom what debate do I've?

Moved Out Before End Of Lease, Am I Liable For Rent?

Am I responsible for half of the lease despite the fact that we never closed an arrangement saying we'd every spend half?
Should you actually are still about the rent, yes. Many leases have a term of combined and many responsibility - each individual about the rental accounts for 100% of the lease, the landlord does not care who pays.
Seek advice from your former landlord to determine if you should be still about the lease.
