TrueCrypt, all I did was create a volume now my USB is unacessable?

Postby modraed » Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:31 am

Hi.

I recently bought a USB. It was working 100% before this incident (two days after purchase). I have put things on and taken things out. I wanted to put a TrueCrypt password on the device but I don't think I did it right, and now my USB isn't working. I'm assuming there is some kind of relation. All I did with TrueCrypt is create a volume (file container) and I put it inside my USB stick. I didn't have to give any password to get into the USB stick from then on, so I didn't do it right.

Anyway, now, something randomly went wrong. I can't access my USB. It still appears under F, but not as what I named it. When I right click and select properties, it says there is 0 available space and 0 total space. Furthermore, when I click the Icon, it just says that I need to format it. When I click yes, and try to do it, it tells me it's write protected.

In event viewer, under system, I get the error (when I plug it in) RSM could not load media in drive 0 of Library general USB flash drive. Help please?
