UK VISA Rejection & Full Right of Appeal?

Postby boyce » Thu Jul 26, 2012 5:01 pm

Hello Fellow members.
I applied for a UK visit Visa for the Farnborough Airshow in July 2012 ending on 15 July and also to meet a cousin in Birmingham. I have been rejected the visa but have a full right of appeal.
Following are the decisions and (Answers):

1)Tax return provided blank. (This is because Business made no profit, though I can attach a personal tax return with enough taxes paid)

2)Monthly income source not specified. (I did provide a copy of my pension book and a statement from bank. Don't know why they would do that!)

3) 25000 Pounds in Bank inconsistent with the monthly income. ( Sold a house, supporting document were provided of the source)

4) Says that Farnborough is expecting you, but you applied for a visitor Visa not Business Visa, you have not indicated that you intent to do any permissible activity in the UK.( I own a business that deals with Aircraft parts, how can they say they don't see a reason for me to attend the show?)

5) Declared cost of travel ( 2500P) is not able to be processable to your income ( I had already bought my ticket and had enough money in Bank to support myself.)

6) You have not indicated any travel history to any country similar to UK immigration procedures.
Finally, I have therefore refused you application because I am not satisfied, on the balance of probabilities that you meet requirements set out by Immigration Paragraphs.

Ok So I dont get this. The people who are looking at these Applications, do not know how to read. No offense but the American Visa process is so much efficient and dependable.

However, I would like to go for the right of appeal and get my Visa.
I would like to know if in these circumstances I show apply. To be true I think my agent messed up my documents. I may have not sent some documents such as the house selling document and one other. Other than that everything was good.
These are the problems I think will create problem:
Farnborough is over.
I cannot provide any details of employment and profitable business.
No travel history to UK similar country.

Other Info:
2 children. ( 1 boy 17 years & 1 girl 19 years.) Both are getting educated here
Wife.
Pakistani
No high value asset.
Strong family Grounds.

So finally I would like to know if I should go for the appeal or just not waste my 140 P. If I do do you think I have good chances? Should I employ a lawyer in Pakistan to do so? Though I dont want expenses!
If I dont appeal what would be the consequences? Will I have problem getting Visa later in life?

If anyone out here can help me Please let me know!
I would really appreciate if someone could also help me out reading my Application of Appeal once I am done,
boyce

UK VISA Rejection & Full Right of Appeal?

Seems that item #4 is telling you to apply for a business visa instead. And that is consistent with you being in the Aircraft Parts business, and wishing to attend a trade show.

Second, selling of the House is a "red flag". Ie: they may suspect you are "cashing out" your local assets, in order to remain permanently in the UK.

Why bother appealing? as the stated agenda was the trade show, and it is over, it would not be logical, and another "red flag".

If you plan is to attend the air show next year, then apply again, probably best as a business visa.
