Unpaid Commissions

Postby Delton » Sat Jun 28, 2014 7:38 pm

I resigned from my employer the first of January 2009.  They owed me over $12K in commissions for December 2008.  They decided to make numerous deductions which resulted in my final commission payment being less than $5000.00  They have not provided me with an updated commission statement showing the deductions.  What recourse do I have? I reside and work in Georgia. Thank you for your assistance.

Unpaid Commissions

You need to find out from them what the deductions were for. Insist that they give you something showing what deductions were taken out.

Then you need to call the Georgia Department of labor and talk to them about it. If illegal deductions were taken out you can file a wage claim with the Georgia Department of Labor and have the money paid back to you.
