Was it a female incompetent case(?): James Holmes Psychiatrist failed to report his condition to the authority?

Before going on a shooting rampage, he DID ask a FEMALE psychiatrist in U of C. for help with his condition, & he did express his desire for mass murder. By law, she MUST report to authority, but she did not. U of Colorado therefore asked her not to say anything to the investigator after the incident for fear of responsibility...

My speculation is either she is incompetent OR most likely...she is SYMPATHIZED with him because he is tall 6'3", handsome & intelligent...

Perhaps, she wants to marry that jerk, so she doesn't want him to spend years in Psychiatric Hospital (which is akin to max prison)...instead she wants to quietly "cure" him by perhaps, using sex therapy (with her) & psychiatric drugs?

She didn't HAVE to report him, unless he seemed serious, many patients talk about murder-fantasies, if you'd report all of them, the Police wouldn't be able to keep up.

And you have a very twisted view of women, which isn't exactly healthy, work on that, because if this is really how your mind works, you're gonna get in trouble at some point.

It was a moron incompetent case. Either a male or female could have made her neglectful error.

Some of thats actually speculation from hear say in media as they have closed most details to the public. So tho I am actually inclined to believe that the report you refer to is correct and it was her negligence. We still do not.know for sure.

I don't think it's been said that he actually told the Dr. his plans. Any psychiatrist whose patient told them they had been planning a mass shooting for four mos. would immeidately report that to the police. If someone in the grocery store told me that I'd immediately tell the police.

Fenton's only incompetence was in prescribing whatever she did to Holmes to make him delusional. He was obviously highly delusional and his odd behavior in court is probably due to the meds wearing off and him coming out of this delusional state. But all psychiatrists are basically incompetent b/c no matter how many mass shootings we have in a month, they keep prescribing people these drugs.

A person under the influence of SSRI's and many other meds who is in a delusional state is not going to tell other people about their delusion for fear that they will be stopped, as well he would have had he said something. They think they are right but there is a little inkling that they are not, which is the tiny part of their real and sane self that's still left inside them when under the influence of psychiatric meds. That's prob. why he sent the notebook, part of him was hoping someone would stop him.
