Was the police officer justified? ITS LONG BUT PLEASE READ THIS?

"So long story short: "

If that's "short", I'd hate to see long. No one is going to read through all of that.

That's a pretty long short story.

It seems like since you are 18 the laptop should be. It also seems like please should not be allowed to smash a five persons cell phone but I am not a waiter and I am not in Florida or familiar with Florida law.

You should get on craigslist, find a roommate, and move ASAP. If you can find a cell phone for $25 by it and forget about the old one.

Police nor Judges like to get in the middle of family disputes. They are probably trying to be peace makers. And the law they know little about. As a gift from your uncle. It would probably be yours. A gift is a gift. Family need could over ride that. A family is to be a family. And share. As for asking for there badge number that is your right. And smashing a cell phone by the police in Florida is against State law for them to do. But you need to prove they did. And they want you out of there to cool the situation they can not handle. And as for this minor child line. A child's possessions are a child's possessions. And usually untouchable in divorces and such. Set aside for the child. I could argue this 6 different ways.
