if you want to break apart a H2O molecule into H2 and O then u have to separate it chemically
if that is what you ment o-o

REASON:

Chemical Change: A chemical change is the alteration of the nature of a substance, therefore, if H2O is separated, then it changes its nature, water is chemically less reactive than H2 and O2 gas. Therefore it is going under a chemical change.
