One reason to legalize Marijuana would be the fact that it's one of the most harmless drugs out there, especially because of the fact that it's non addictive, unlike Tobacco and Alcohol which are also illegal. Another reason for the legalization of Marijuana would be because of the fact that a ton of people go into jail each year because of the use of Marijuana (I don't have any exact numbers for this one) even if they're not causing any harm to anyone around them and the only legitimate reason to arrest someone for Marijuana usage in the home is if they were out there committing crimes because of it, and the only real crime that somebody would cause if they were on it would be driving while high. My point to this reason is that a lot of people get put into jail for this drug every year while people are complaining about how crowded each of the jail cells are, and most of people who are on Marijuana don't even deserve to be put into jail.
My third reason for this would be for the medical uses of the drug. I mean there are so many kids and adults with disabilities and/or diseases like severe Anxiety, Autism (it helps these kids), ADHD (as far as I know), certain types of cancer, Insomnia (trust me on this one), chronic pain, HIV/AIDS (it gets a rid of the nausea), Seizures, Tourette's Syndrome, Glaucoma, weight loss and there are others. If this drug can help all of these diseases or disorders, then people should be allowed to use it and it shouldn't be illegal according to the federal law.
My last reason for Marijuana being legal would be that it would give people a good alternative for the people who are addicted to drugs like Tobacco and Alcohol, since it doesn't kill anyone and because of the fact that it isn't even close to being as harmful. I mean, I would see somebody be high on Marijuana over being drunk.
