What do I do when black crows keep attacking my dog and family?

There are these big black crows attacking my dog and us (my family) when he goes outside. Now they start attcking us too. We had this problem last year and now the crows are back. I know they are VERY aggresive and it's againist the law to shoot/hurt them. How can I get rid of them???

If the crows are actually causing physical harm to your family/pet, and/or your property, than there is no reason not to shoot them/kill them.I would suggest using a pellet gun, and just dropping them out of the air if they cause trouble. Bird lovers and protectors can take a back seat when birds cause problems.

They obviously have a nest in the area and feel threatened by your dog and your presence. They are not really going to harm you..they are probably just swooping down at you, correct? Birds cannot do much damage if they are not even touching you. They are not going to harm you dog..most likely he would be better able to harm them. You can try carrying an umbrella outside with you and when they swoop open the umbrella over your head to scare them away. I would not suggest harming these birds in any way..they are protected by law and are only doing what comes naturally..protecting their young. You can be fined or jailed for harming these birds. Look up the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

I don't buy it, crows seem more laid back than that... they will nail a dove in a heartbeat but you and your pets are more than likely safe.
