What Do You Consider Of Labor Unions?

What Do You Consider Of Labor Unions?

Postby hussein » Tue Dec 24, 2013 10:34 pm

In my opinion unions have pushed up our earnings so big that that is led to the lack of jobs, something likely to India and Philippines. Really this gas platform that caught on fire right now - also pricey to location an US flag on it so it was made in an Asian nation, certified in Marshall Islands so low-cost function may be used. US flag means US workers require certainly to concentrate on it-no matter where that platform drifts. Our personal employment system has been killed by us with big marriage wages.

My grandmother worked for the Train and he belonged to a nation. It had been required in those days. Company took advantageous asset of employees and they'd not have knowledgeable a great salary or benefits if it weren't for unions. Even so now the tail is wagging your dog. The unions have gotten also corrupt and effective. They've triggered their very personal downfall and the transfer of our company abroad. It is time for you to rein them in or remove them.   NormanLis Tips American Workers, American Unions: The Twentieth-Century(The American Moment) Amazon List Value: $22.00 Utilised from: $5.93 Typical Customer Rating: 3.five out of 5(based on 3 critiques) Mobsters, Unions, and Feds: The Mafia and the American Labor Movement Amazon List Price tag: $21.00 Utilised from: $12.47 Typical Buyer Rating: four. out of 5(based on 4 critiques) NormanL 42 weeks previously Please register to give a supplement. What Do You Think Of Labor Unions?

Postby abraham90 » Wed Jan 22, 2014 7:38 pm

What do YOU think of:   * The weekend?           Unions got you that.   * The 40-hour week?    Unions got you that.   *  Overtime pay for overtime?    Unions got you that.   *  Compensation for on-the-job injury?    Unions got you that.   * A modicum of on-the-job safety?    Unions got you that.     Now you could argue that some things have gone too far, but there?s no arguing about the above items.     Now about the oil rigs--unions have nothing, absolutely nothing to do with it.   They use foreign labor because it is much, much cheaper than US labor.  Nobody in the USA, whether with a union or not, is going to work out there, that hard, in those conditions, with those risks, at the wages that some Asians will work at.  It's not a matter of cutting out the "union surcharge"-- those foreign workers will work for ONE QUARTER of our non-union pay.   Removing the unions would not change a thing.

What Do You Think Of Labor Unions?

Back then it was necessary. Industry took advantage of workers and if it were not for unions they would not have had a decent wage or benefits. But now the tail is wagging the dog. The unions have gotten too powerful and corrupt. They have brought about their own downfall and the move of our industry to other countries. It is time to rein them in or eliminate them.

A.  The government has no business issuing "marriage" licenses, because marriage is sacramental and should be controlled only by your religion.[*]  I favor "civil union" licenses of any two old-enough people, mainly to regularize thge raising of children.   B. Very good for community building, for saving, and for getting loans.   C. In favor, because businesses otherwise have too much power.     "To do for all workers that which none can do alone."

And I thought they had back two and a half years ago but I later learned that the state wanted to increase the wages to attract more teachers and merely asked the union to help set it up. I paid my union dues to be able to vote yes on the idea. That was the only help.
