What do you do if someone tries to ruin your reputation?

This person and I have known each other for 14 years. So they know A LOT about me. They are the one who can try to destroy my reputation!!! I deleted them from my friends list on Facebook and now I believe they spread gossip and slander about me in an attempt to prevent me from having a social life. This is difficult and BAD!!!! I'm a strong person and I know i'm good. I only deleted them since we are not close, and at the time I was thinking they would not care,plus I know they did the same to me, the way I see it, we are like water and fire. I tried to add this person back and knocked on their door to make amends but I guess they didn't want to hear it. DESPITE THAT FACT, I believe they STILL kept spreading gossip and slander about me!!!! We live in the same two family house, so I sometimes heard them going nonstop!! I've never been through anything like this before, This is CRAZY!!!!

WHAT SHOULD I DO????

I reckon the best way is to continuously reinforce your reputation, if people dont see you doing bad they will be less likely to judge you by what she says. Where as if she is a gossip and a slanderer people will work her out for who she is. The crazier they get, the less they are beleived, and the more you will be. Try not to let her get to you, or she gets what she wants.

fight fire with fire, women are terrible for this, cut off all contact with her and just go about your business if people choose to believe there crap then so be it but personally I'd try and catch hem when there on there own that way you and her can have a nice little chat one to one, why not be a little aggressive? but not violent :)
