What does this sentence mean?

i'm doing a report on George Nissen, the one who invented the trampoline and when i looked him up on wiki this was one was the things it said. what does it mean? the sentence it was in was that he saw this word: "trampolin" in Spanish and:
He trademarked it in an anglicized form.
what does that mean?

According to Google it is the Spanish word for Diving Board..... odd.

He created the word trampoline from the word trampolin , changed it 'round abit and presto! Got trampoline.

I don't get this. Unless there is some hidden trick to this question, it quite simply means he took the word "trampolin" and made an English word - "trampoline" and trademarked it. In other words, he "Anglicized" it (made an English word from the Spanish word).
