What form of action can i take if a teacher called my son an idiot?

She called him a idiot around 3 or 4 time in front the class during different lesson and also infront of other member of staff.

Go talk to the principle and get the teacher to sit with you in the office and tell her she better not call your son an idiot again or you'll sue her or try to get her fired she needs to be respectful with the kids

Go directly to the head teacher and tell him/her what happened. I work in a school and this is utterly unacceptable behaviour. In the UK, that language is not tolerated.

Visit the teacher in the school and tell her never to joke with your child with such nasty words that they could be very dangerous at times.

I think first you should talk to your son and find out if he was being a smart *** with the teacher cause some students are very disrespectful towards teachers just to "look cool" not saying it was ok for the teacher to call him an idiot but I have a feeling your son is an instigator.

This is what my mother would've done if me or my sisters came home with some like that. First she would ask which teacher it was who said that and what class they taught. Then she would she would ask what it was that I was doing that would make her say such a thing and depending on my answer I might or might not get a whopping,lol. Usually though, as soon as she threatens with that, i start to cry and she feels so bad that she doesn't bother going through with it,lol. But! regardless of wether or not I did some dumb crap and she puts the belt to my bottom, we would still be going to school where she would confront that teacher.

She would say something like this! Did you call my son or daughter an idiot?! And in front of the entire class?! If the teacher said yes! Then mom would respond like this! How can you being a teacher call your students idiots, when you are there to teach them and bring them knowledge and wisdom on how to apply that knowledge in there lives? How can they be anything but stupid if that's how you see them and what you call them. How can they learn and be smart when the very educator has already written them off as idiots and therefore they must be destined for failure in life. You don't give them the chance to grow out of that young person mentality and into a an older more knowledgeable person. Even if they act stupid, YOU DO NOT! call them that because it's YOUR JOB! to teach them knowledge. And it's your job to encourage them and when they act stupid in class, then you call ME! And I! Will deal with them at home. But, you nor any other teacher has the right to call my kids IDIOTS! If you can't handle the kids or do the job, then why do it! Give the position to someone who encourages and not discourage them, because all you are doing with that is setting them for even more failure. As a teacher you need to be more responsible not with only your actions but ALSO WITH YOUR WORDS! And I will be calling the school board and letting them know exactly what kind of teaching is going on in this class and in this school!

And Yes! believe or not my mom would and has done things like that with her kids at school, lol
Embarrassing! Yes, but your kids will get the right treatment from that teacher after that, because they would fear mom or dad coming with another talk like that, not to mention the threat of calling the school board again. Teachers do that because parents don't stand up and defend their children when they should and discipline them when they should. That's why teachers and managers treat the kids like crap and don't think nothing of it. Parents have to get involved when it's like this, but if your child was doing stupidity them you have better talk some sense into him and don't let him off the hook just because you defend him. He or she goes to school learn, not to be messing around. The teacher needs to be set straight and so does you child...if they were indeed goofing off in class.
