do you have a choice? I think what happens is the patient is out of luck and gets to pay the bill. Its time to tighten up the belt and squeeze the wallet tight. The workers comp insurance company is not your friend and will do everything it can to run you out of cash to force an early settlement. which could comprimise future medical to say the least. Beg borrow get a loan to keep your head above water do what ever it takes good luck hope things work out ok

You have every right to be evaluated by your own physician, at your own espense. If you are covered by health insurance they will pay the normal amounts after you satisfy any copays or deductibles.

Ideally you should be evaluated first by the physician selected by your employer or workers comp insurance company (situation permitting of course) and bring a copy of that report to your physician for them to review.
