What is the base of governments? What justifies them? What gives them right to rule my life?

Is it "social contract" that the states are founded upon? Or by mere tyrannical power? Are there other arguments and reasons for the governance of states?

I am born in the geographical "boundaries" of some country. Why should I be bound by the borders that they establised, or their laws? Why must I go to "sacred military duty" for 2 years and be tortured by some military jerks while I don't even consider that I am a "turkish citizen"? Why must I obey the borders that are imposed on earth? Who are they to tell me that I cannot pass from this place to another?

I consider myself a citizen of the world and a nomad, but todays conditions are not allowing such lifestyles. I think agriculture and property, that is civilization, started bringing these restrictions. I am against this uncivilized civilization as well.

Imagine that I refuse the citizenship of any country and know it my right to wander freely on this earth, and to hunt when I am hungry. Wouldn't the police come and imprison me for breaking their laws, or do not let me live in "their" countries? Just as the same thing happened to Henry David Thoreau?

I was thinking of asking the government what justifies their tyrannical laws, and why should I accept them? is it because they have the power, the police and institutions and I don't? If so everyone must disobey. If they consider it as established by people's consent, then I do not give my consent and ask to be absolved by such frivolities.
Please someone, explain to me, why should I obey?

The simple fact is we need governments. We need someone to provide basic services, and we need someone to protect us from criminals. I definitely wouldn't want to live in an anarchic society with no governments and no laws. I wouldn't want criminals to run wild without any police to stop them, and likewise I want someone to build my roads and hospitals.

Now, in previous times, governments basically justified themselves through sheer power. Some also claimed that they had a god-given right to rule. However, in more recent history, thinking has shifted towards a social contract where the government is responsible for looking after its populace and wields power on their behalf. Most such countries are now also democracies where the people have the power to remove governments that they feel no longer act in their interests and object to laws that the population doesn't want.

As for your claim that you don't give "your" consent to their existence. Well, maybe so, but the overwhelming majority of the population does. And the simple fact is that for society to function at all, everyone has to play by the rules to some extent. If you don't want to be part of society, nothing is stopping you from going out and living in a cave somewhere. But to enjoy the benefits of human civilisation, you have to pull your weight like everyone else.

If you object to any specific law, you always have the option of voting for someone else, or running for office and attempting to change the law.
