Glacier National Park in Montana There are so many beautiful National Parks in the US but Glacier is my favorite by far.  It lies on the US/Canadian border in Montana and is more remote than Yosemite or Yellowstone, meaning much less crowded.  The hiking and camping is amazing as you are up in the alpine meadows with the wildlife.  http://www.nps.gov/glac/My second favorite is Denali in Alaska.  Mt. For a combination of beauty, camping, stuff to do/see, and all around niceness I've heard the best things about these two. This is a perspective assuming you want to do things like camp and see nice stuff you might need to hike to get to because the people I get reports from are those kinds of people. If you want more of a car kind of place, something like crater lake might be better(though it's also much smaller and so has less stuff to do, total).
