What political group or party (if any) would you consider me?

I'm not very into politics, nor am I very educated on the subject. I think I tend to be a little more conservative, but I'm wondering if there is any specific political party I would fall under. Here are my beliefs:

I am against abortion in most cases.

I support immigration reform, and support making it easier to become a citizen. I don't believe in oppressing aliens who aren't committing violent crimes or drug trade.

I am pro gay marriage, as the institution of marriage is already somewhat untraditional in its standards.

I support medicinal marijuana in certain circumstances

I support NO gun laws. Robbers want us to be unarmed, and people will get weapons no matter what. 3rd amendment rights all the way.

I support government reform and stopping corruption.

I support voting reform, electoral votes for presidential elections are outdated in my opinion.

I support more strict drug control laws.

I hope this isn't a stupid question. My friends say that the fact that I have a mix of beliefs just makes me normal. I think it's extreme to be really to one sided politically. If there is any political party that would suit me, I'd like to research it. Thanks for the input.

What makes you different from - and decidedly *superior* to most people - is that you have not started by identifying yourself with one political party, and then slavishly supporting any and every policy that it endorses.

Other than independents, who will listen to all sides, most voters are childlike in their loyalty to either of the two major parties. Amazingly, they not only behave this way, but they are also take pride in not having minds of their own!

Most of these people have no opinion on any political matter, until they hear what leaders of their party tell them to believe.

Show me someone who automatically agrees with his party, no matter what, and I'll show a political idiot, and a damned poor citizen in a democratic country.

You are on the right track, when you determine your own values instead of waiting for some party hack to tell you what to think about *everything*. That makes you and people like you the hope of your country.

If you rethink the drug laws you could be Libertarian. People who follow their own common sense and stay away from news propaganda tend to be Libertarian.

Definitely an Independent.

However you left some important issues such as economic views, death penalty and abortion.

You were pretty close to a Libertarian until the strict drug laws bit.
