Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I still miss the Workplace Shell. I bought OS/2 2.0 when it was released, and I eagerly awaited 2.1, 3.0, and 4.0. It took a bit of getting used to, but in days I was hooked. Many of Win95's "innovations" had been in OS/2 for 3 years, or more. Though Win2000/XP and Gnome offer some of it and have some things it didn't, the Workplace Shell remains the only GUI I truly like.
