What's up with my google chrome browser?

Postby denzell » Wed Aug 01, 2012 4:17 pm

Ok, so Whenever i go to a website, almost every time i get the message next to where you type the address: Your connection to _____ is not encrypted or the other one that is like ' it's incrypted but third parties can access (something like that)
It also usually say : the identity of this site has not been verified.

I have been using https:// to try to get around it, but i still want to know what is up. From right clicking and 'inspect elements' i find three errors:
1 Port error" Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.
2 ( the same)
3 Error in event handler for 'undefined': cannot read property 'call' of undefined TypeError: Cannot read
property 'call of undefined

(there are alot of words and stuff after the "at"s

Is there anythink i can do to fix this? I don't know what is wrong :(

Worse comes to worst, ill just go back to using IE

Have you checked that the network on your computer is doing fine or not? check it and try those websites you wanted to visit with firefox. Then try it with chrome again. If the problem exists, uninstall chrome and download it again and install it.

All the best

Go to Firefox not IE!

HTTP & HTTPS can be 2 totally separate locations or ports as the server your connecting to has to be configured to use HTTPS and have a valid security certificate, so simply changing the address to HTTPS may just fail. sometimes you may have to accept the certificate manually, but the connection will still be secured.

A warning about the connection not being encrypted is nothing to worry about. unless its banking etc, which should use HTTPS anyway.
