For those who don't know the Obama Administration's on June 15 announced it's plan to grant deferred action status and work authorization to illegal aliens meeting criteria similar to the DREAM Act. The ones who qualify include: the individual must have arrived in the United States before the age of 16 and be no more than 30 years old; they have to have been in the country continuously for at least five years prior to the announced policy; and they must be enrolled in school, a high school graduate, or an honorably discharged member of the U.S. military. Those who have a criminal record may not be eligible.
So what do you think about this?
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but racism is not acceptable.

One is already suing the state so he can practice law. LOL. One out of six illegals arrested keep committing crimes. My family struggles and sacrificed to come to the USA LEGALLY, and this illegal open door policy is a smack on the face to those who followed the LAW.

EDIT: what about the children of criminals who rob a bank? would the kids be separated from their parents just because their parent made a mistake? we have laws that need to be followed, not a pick and choose. Many illegals come here hoping to have a child here to be a US citizen. this is FRAUD and the child needs to know his/her parents broke rules and the whole family must pay the price. FYI guess what, go to mexico. they don't give classes to kids in their in English, nor do they do a ton of 'English heritage' classes. Mexico schools stick to the basics taught in Spanish. But here in America it is expected to bend over and help these 'poor unfortunate children'.

Since when could illegal immigrants join the military?
Regardless, it really is unacceptable. They may not like the law, making it illegal to come into the country without documentation and following immigration policy, but it is the law, and by coming into the country they became criminals. I have nothing but respect for people who come legally, but the people who come illegally are the reason for the "they're stealing our jobs" statements.

It's fantastic! Its a step in the right direction because kids should not be treated as criminals just because their parents brought them here so they could survive and get an education. These ignorant, racist people have serious issues in their own lives, and in turn go ahead and try to attack innocent kids! Shameful!!!

I think it is a wonderful way to help the children who came here against their will and at the same time not grant the same liberty to the parents. Many people still frown on the idea but when you stop to actually think about it - it is a great opportunity for some of these people to give back to this country and contribute even more to the economy. No one wants to grant criminals freedom but at the same time calling a child a criminal is just inhumane. The term: "criminal" is loosely stamped on immigration for the for simple fact that being here illegally in itself is a crime. The person doesn't necessarily have to have commited anything else, he/she is just branded with the title. In some case it's wrong and in some cases it's right. Some are smugglers, drug dealers and guns for hire and some want to live in this country guilt free and happy like everyone else. This Act singles out the honest ones from the criminals and I believe it is a step in the right direction.
