What should Indo about this coach?

I told the coach one day, " I will not be able to make to try outs on saturday because I have a band concert." He topd
Me that it was ok, that they were working on a date for another tryout.
Four days later, (monday) my dad received an email
At 8:00 am. It said that there would be a tryout THAT DAY at 5:00pm. That same day, I had my class trip that day, which was planned for 6 months. I had left an hour before this email was even sent! Is it my fault that I missed this other tryout? The next day, my dad attended a parent meeting for this hockey club. Even though i was told before the first tryout that I would be on the team by default, they proceeded to tell my dad that I couldn't be on the team because I "faild to attend tryouts". How could He have made it to them when they told us the information on the day of?, my dad asked. The coach just shrugged. Is this just tough luck, or should there be further action taken?

Find another team that plays against him and show him the mistake he made. Then tell him to go f@ck himself.
