Hmmm...I'm probably most like... ...Captain Janeway. I relate to her desire to help people, yet her need to be in charge and make sure everyone is following the rules(guess that makes me a wee bit of a control freak). I've always felt that her driving force is to find the potential in everyone and make sure they have the tools they need to reach that potential. I feel like that has been something I do as well. As a manager, it was my job to make sure my employees had the tools they needed(training, equipment, software) to do their job. It was also my job to ensure that they were treated fairly and respectfully. I think Captain Janeway liked to manage her ship that way. She knew Tom Paris was an excellent pilot, and gave him a second chance, even though he'd really screwed up. She knew Chakotay was a good leader, so she made him second in command, even though his background wasn't all that spectacular(i.e. hard to trust). This is probably way more philosophical than you were looking for, but, truthfully, I think I did relate to her character based on those management and leadership skills. aztempest 82 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment.
