Whats going to happen in court? Minor transporting?

Im 20 years old and one day picked up my friend and her boyfriend who is 27, he brought alcohol in the car, i was pulled over for speeding and they saw the alcohol. We were not drinking but he did give me a ticket for minor transporting alcohol. I thought that if the alcohol belonged to the 27 year old i would not be able to get in trouble. I thought i was doing the right thing by being the sober driver.
When my court date comes what should i say to the judge?
I know in mass a minor transporting loses there license but the cop told me to appeal it

What you describe is legal in my state, and the judge would dismiss the ticket.

However, each state has their own laws and you didn't mention where this happened. The statue number off the ticket would be helpful too.
