When cons say "people kill people," do they mean like strangulation with their bare hands?

Absolutely! If the Colorado shooter didn't have access to weapons, he would have simply strangled 12 people and injured 58 more with his bare hands.

No. They mean that a gun by itself is harmless. Its only dangerous in the hands of either a person who doesn't know how to use it or a person who intends to use it to hurt other people. These sick individuals are the problem, not guns.
