Where Do I fall on the Political Spectrum?

Postby emek » Tue May 01, 2012 3:01 am

I am pro-gun

I support judicial restraint (strict constructionist)

On the issue of abortion, I view it as wrong except when the life of the mother is threatened and in cases of rape).
I am very Christian, but respect that there is a separation of church and state. I do, however, believe that this nation truly was founded under god and Christianity. I have no problem with Atheists, but they annoy me when they claim we have no right to try and spread our religion.

I have no problem with Gay people. I understand that they can't control who they are. I believe they deserve the same rights as everyone, and should be allowed to be in civil unions. I repeat, I have nothing against Gay people! I do believe though, that marriage is between a man and a women. I just don't think they should be allowed to have the title of marriage. Also, I don't think it is acceptable for gay couples to raise children. I believe that is a child is brought up in that environment, then the child will grow up confused and possibly embarrassed at school and other social settings. It's just not right and is not what a family is. I don't believed Gays are an abomination or are going to hell. God loves everyone. It's just the marriage and raising children that I don't approve of.

I believe in a flat tax. Everyone should pay the same percentage so then everyone is basically contributing the same amount (It's proportional). I hate people who say the rich should pay a higher percentage. That is morally wrong. They earned that money and it should not be taken from them.

I believe social security should be privatized. I also believe that Universal Health care is horrible idea. I don't care is Europe has it. We're not Europe. It's goes against what this country stands for.

I believe is a strong defense and military. I take extreme pride in our country, and it's important that we stay on top in order to keep us citizens safe. I have nothing but respect for our Troops. They are the leaders of this country.

I believe the solution to high oil prices is to drill on our soil. It will be cheaper. While we utilize our OWN oil, we should be thinking of new ways to produce energy.

I think unemployment insurance for those who has jobs, and can prove they are looking for work is acceptable. We should help people get back on their feet. However, I want welfare programs abolished. People who sit on their buts all day and don't even try to work deserve nothing from us. No one should have to give up their money to pay for them to live.

I believe in strict immigration laws. There are too many aliens here. I have no problem with people immigrating to this great country, as long as they do it legally. Illegals need to go.

Those are my views in a nutshell. If I'm liberal or conservative, don't just say that. Tell me what kind I lean more towards. Thanks!
