criminal justice is more the legal aspect, whereas forensic psychology is more research. you could always get a masters in criminal justice which doesn't that that long, and then get a phd in forensic psychology. if you did that your core classes will transfer, but most your electives won't. the best way to figure out what to do is to do some research on your own. check out various schools, and compare and contrast the each degree.
