I am about to graduate with a bachelors degree in psychology from my university. I have one more semester left and I need to make a decision about where I am going to go after I graduate. For a long time I thought I would go into counseling, but lately I have been showing interest in the law/forensic side of psychology. Is there anyone out there who can give me some advice or information on different areas I could study in graduate school? Should I find a masters program in forensic psychology or should I get a masters in criminal justice? What careers are out there for people who go into this sort of thing? I'd really appreciate any answers I can get. I've asked the staff at my university about this before and I haven't really received any clear answers. Perhaps someone on here will see this and have something to say. Thanks for any useful and productive answers!

child psycholgy would be a more rounded career choice, but sticking with the legal psycholgy would be well paying, but stressful

criminal justice is more the legal aspect, whereas forensic psychology is more research. you could always get a masters in criminal justice which doesn't that that long, and then get a phd in forensic psychology. if you did that your core classes will transfer, but most your electives won't. the best way to figure out what to do is to do some research on your own. check out various schools, and compare and contrast the each degree.
