Congratulations for a healthy baby boy. I hope that you are also doing well.
Yes, this is definitely a case of malpractice, however, if you and your son are genuinely well I would spend my time and energy on caring for him and my family and myself and let it go as a learning issue.
Now, while you are doing well this is the time to search for new doctors. Find a family doctor and pediatrician with whom you feel comfortable. Have your records transferred to these doctors.
If you become pregnant again your family doctor will know about the earlier pre-clampsia (sp), and will hopefully send you to a more competent OB/GYN.
If you must go to an ER again I hope you can go to a different hospital next time.
