Why are people so hyped up about this wack singer adele chick who happens to sing black soul music?

I can name a number of singers who could blow her fat a$$ out of the f**ing water. In no particular order, Jasmine sullivan, Janelle monae, Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Maxwell, D'angelo, and Donell jones. She doesn't impress me at all and I can't understand why these people are drooling over this chick. Her music is so bland and seems like forced soul and emotion. What I beginning to understand is that the Grammies are truly a popularity contest and the people who vote them are mindless idiots with no taste whatsoever. You have Black soul singers who have dominated this music industry for years.Then all of a sudden you have this white girl named adele who happens to sing soul music so everyone thinks it's different and cool and she is being original. Oh please black people have been singing this for hundreds of years. She is no where near the talent of these soul acts I just named and would blow her out if it came to live performances.

well, i happen to love her voice and i like a few of her songs..you may not think she is talented, but others do. her album has gon double platinum and has stayed on billboard for the longest. i dont like her music because her music sounds like black soul music, honestly i didnt even realize it until you said something, i just feel like i can relate to it. thats the main thing people like, something they can listen to and relate to, its not her fault that the other singers that you think can blow her out of the water arent as successful. Remember, talent is subjective, and what we both have said are opinions not facts. No offense, but if you continue to go around bashing people like that, then you come off as a hater. If you dont like her music, just dont listen. There are many popular singers and rappers that i dont listen to, but i dont go around insulting them, because in the end they are making more money than me, and i have to respect that they worked to get where they are. If some one from another race wants to sing something that another race is known for, whats the big deal? People have been doing this for centuries! Rap, R&B, etc. Always Happens but people never forget about the originals if thats what you're worried about!

No such thing of black soul music. soul is soul just like rock is rock. doesn't matter what ethnicity sings it. And who says she's better or worse than any other singer? a good artist is a good artist. you can't compare a good apple to another good apple.
