Why can't we have a nationwide "voting board" online? A place where we take things as a nation to a vote.?

I understand the concept of the voting booth, and it is adorable, but why can't we have a Mega Site that would allow the people of the United States to log in and cast Votes. Even statewide, and let anyone post a vote to get started, then if a majority (of however many were registered) said yes then it passes and BOOM! New Law. I mean that'ss what we're doing in the voting booth anyway, this would just be more direct. and with ID attached the votes would have less issues with tampering. One could type in their specific ID and see where their vote located in the For/Opposed sections. Is this possible? DISCUSS!

Because some 12 year old in South Korea would figure out to hack the system and I'm not looking forward to four years of President Spongebob.

I'd still be scared of hackers.

Gaming the system would be the problem, who is to say the ID a person typed in would be you.

That would disenfranchise all of the old and poor people who don't have access to a computer or can't afford the internet. Of course, without any way to verify who was voting there wouldn't be any fraud either.

Attached is a photo of the satellite killer transmitting tower in china, they have been using their own satellites for target practice for years, it is estimated they could permanently damage or disable over a thousand satelites within one hour with the current variable frequency x-ray laser they are using at this time,,,
Things like this could interrupt online voting.
