Hay well ya the first problem you got it sounds like a domestic thing. But if you wernt hurting your self and there was no documented medical report from a doc of self inflicted injury you can get your money back in court from suing them id call a layer to file the complaint for you and just show the facts in court. As far as the person who hit and ran with out using real info even when cops showed up if you have car insurance id get the records from the cops if they don't give it to you next ask the local news paper company if they could give you a copy of the police log usualy they just have a list of police calls llike accident police where called I see that in the log section all the time so the insurance company knows your not at fault. At that point it will be a big insurance company with an entire leagle staff that deals with this for a living. trust me insurance company's are greedy and want there money. As for the seat belt thing when you go to court just ask for car camera evidence the camera there should be no excuse for not having the footage if they can't produce it then than you may have to wait for anouther date so they can or the judge may just take your side that day. Ya every time a cop dose some thing there is aloways evidence of some kind you just need to calm down and only use logic they don't have any real power there just workers. If you flip out at em and don't use logic well that's when they got you by the balls and make stuff up.
It sounds like the police love you. You wouldn't happen to be an attractive young girl would you?
In the first case, you're being sent to the psychiatric hospital probably was not the option of the police. Under President Clinton, "slick Willie" to his legions of adoring fans, some insane laws were passed. Several of these were aimed at domestic abuse. Unfortunately, while intending to do good they ended up causing harm. I believe that you got caught up in one of these laws. Basically, since you were fighting with your parents, they removed you from the situation by putting you in " protective custody" in a mental facility. This may have been to have you evaluated, either for psychiatric problems or for drug problems, or it may have been the easiest way to end the domestic problem. They will often do this when a husband and wife are fighting, by arresting the husband and detaining him in jail. In short, they simply are not allowed to leave the groups involved in an altercation alone. They must do something.
In your second case, you either had a rookie cop or the individual had connections with the police. Right off, this sounds like a mistake that a new police officer would make. However, if the other person was a drug informant or had other connections with the police, such as being related to someone in the government or the Police Department, then this will happen. It is wrong, but that doesn't stop it from happening. The FBI has stopped investigating police departments who breaks the law and simply suggest that you file a lawsuit against the police department for their offense.
In your third incident you use the plural " we." Exactly who was with you when this happened? The reason I ask is because they are a witness.
I suspect that the officer assumed you did not have a seatbelt on because you lean forward, which most seatbelts will not allow. If he stopped you, and you had a seatbelt on, and you have a witness, you should have no problem proving that you had one on. Unfortunately, for him to have continued to write you a ticket suggests that you remove the seatbelt, or do not have one on, when he approached the vehicle. Sadly, police officers will not admit that they have made a mistake. So when you go to court, expect him to say that you were not wearing a seatbelt. If you're lucky, the case will be dropped with no fine. Otherwise, it will be your word against his, and they tend to win. For the record, seatbelt laws generally do not take into consideration the speed that you were going. They simply state that you must be wearing a seat belt while operating a motor vehicle.
Your final issue probably has nothing to do with your local Police Department at all. In fact, it may have nothing to do with law enforcement at all. This may be at a much higher level, read the federal government, having received a complaint that the site you are talking about has violated some federal law. Normally, they do not block websites. Rather, they shut them down. When someone blocks a website, it is usually inside your computer or through a server that has restricted access from that site for some reason. As an example, I will cite McAfee anti-virus software that I have. It often blocks sites that are invalid for some reason. This may be due to a license expiration or some other issue that McAfee has sent a warning to your software about. It can also be a parental issue, were your parents block certain sites for whatever reasons that they may have.
I will be completely honest with you. The majority of police have ego problems. They love to pull authority whenever possible because it makes them feel important. I call this a God Complex. Law enforcement is not a career, but an image that a person takes on when they become a police officer. This job tends to define their entire life. If they lose it, they may be severely depressed. They are basically not allowed, between unwritten rules and their egos, to admit that they have made a mistake. This tends to ruin their lives and the lives of those around them.
As for the laws, the majority of them are nothing more than waste of the state (municipality, county, or state) to make money. Speed limits are estimated safety limits, but the fines go directly into the pocket of the locality. It has nothing to do with safety. Seatbelt laws are the same way. Whenever the government needs an excuse for something, they tend to invoke either security or safety. The biggest with the federal government is national security. For smaller governments, like your town, they invoke safety. No matter how you cut it, it tends to boil down to money.
