Exporting is not what made the U.S. a world power.Exporting is what made the US a world power. We had electricity and consumer goods that the entire world demands. In WWII, the Allies came to us for weaponry. And America is still dominant of how much the world's economy depends on American products. Other countries buy our cars, technology and other goods. Even though manufacturing is predominant in China and third world countries, globalization is not the reason why we're down. At least, that's my two cents.
What does the US export?when nafta (nothing free about it) was signed into law our factories began moving south and taking our jobs with them. the only american jobs that came out of it were trucking and shipping jobs to bring the junk north into america.
