I think it's because they are trying to humanize gays.

Liberals like Barney Frank have no achievements - other than their preference for playing hide the salami with other dudes

Liberals are simple-minded hate-mongers and they like to place people in categories to make them more effective targets.

Because in some cases their achievements are more notable because they achived them DESPITE being part of a persecuted minority.

How deaf to culture and common sense do you have to be to willingly ignore this?

Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Alexander Hamilton, Abraham Lincoln, and Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina all achieved fame and liked to pack fudge.

This suggests that the sexual drive to pack fudge leads to historical greatness.

Does that mean we should include the description of a person's sexuality who commit criminal acts, too? How about all those Catholic Priests who molested little boys? A lot was made of the fact that they were Catholic and Priests but not so much about their homosexuality. How about all the homosexuals who commit other violent acts?

If we only cite the positive actions of homosexuals, but ignore their sexuality when they do evil, we are giving a false impression about them. I hold that we should be pointing out that homosexual men are overrepresented in the child molester category and that lesbians are overrepresented in the domestic violence category.

Just keeping it real.

Sources below. Remember, I stated that they are overrepresented. That means disproportionate to their numbers in the general population.

Because we live in a heteronormative world where unless specified otherwise, someone is assumed to be heterosexual, which leads to the erasure, invisibility, and marginalization of gender and sexual minorities.

Hope that helps!

EDIT: @Jacob W: "I hold that we should be pointing out that homosexual men are overrepresented in the child molester category and that lesbians are overrepresented in the domestic violence category."

Sources or I'm calling bullsh*t.
