Why Does It Seem That Everyone Is Out To Sue Everybody Lately?

Postby Kylen » Wed Jan 22, 2014 8:50 am

No Matter where I go, What I do, Someone is Suing Someone! I am Tired of it... Why can't people just come to agreements? I remember in the early 80's, I hit a car and it was my first accident. I paid the person, so my insurance wouldn't increase... Has anyone else done this?

Why Does It Seem That Everyone Is Out To Sue Everybody Lately?

Postby Korrigan » Wed Jan 29, 2014 7:59 pm

This has been going on for years. Let me start by saying that I?m in the midst of a potaetially 10 figure law suit(I?m suing someone).I won?t go into detail, but some suits are deserved.   Now,the other side of the coin, law suits are the poor shmucks ticket to riches. Many people put themselves in a position to sue someone(or an entity) just to get rich.Every litigation/personal injury lawyer in the USA will sue on the basis that they get paid if you do.   Remember the woman who spilled hot Mcdonalds coffee on herself.I?m pretty sure that case was setrtled out of court for two million bucks.Generally 30-50% of that goes to the attorney. That means big business all around.   The federal government has intervened and set many new caps and guidelines on law suits, but the preposterous still takes place.   Let me tell you.I deserve something for what happened to me.   My attorney?s law firm.  http://www.cprlaw.com/   My case has nothing to do with asbestos, but if you know me,you?ll know what it?s about.   I have also done what you describe. its called easy money! yes, thats the reason you see people suing every time you turn around. some people do it for a living, you have to be carefull, because if someone knpws you have good insurance there is easy money in it for them. i had a friend that got her car stolen in the middle of the night while she was sleepin. it turned out to be a teenager lookin for a joy ride and anyways he recked the car into a tree and his parents sued my friend and yes her insurance had to pay for his medical bills because she is responsible for her car.   tinktink's Recommendations Insult to Injury: Insurance, Fraud, and the Big Business of Bad Faith(BK Currents) Amazon List Price: $24.95 Used from: $4.99 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5(based on 10 reviews) tinktink 81 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. If you have too many of one thing, then a way to correct it is to increase demand. I think that lawyers have built up demand over the past few decades so that people think of suing right away. It also hasn't helped when there have been huge settlements - money draws flies. So I think the basic problem is two-fold: too many lawyers, and too high settlements.

It's the lawyer's fault. There are just too many of them, and we have gotten used to a "lawyer" society. Sources: My opinion.
