There are radical elements that associate themselves with Islam, just as there are radical elements that associate themselves with Christianity. Maybe the Islamic radicals are even more numerous.

But nonetheless this doesn't justify denouncing the entire, worldwide, Islamic religion. Any more than we should denounce Christianity, just because there's all these "Christian" people who shoot abortion doctors, build fortified compounds, stockpile machine guns, and blow up public buildings.

Radicals can and should be dealt with piecemeal, as criminals. Because that's all they are.
