Why is it that every time a massacre happens...?

Postby delron » Sat Jul 21, 2012 1:46 am

The liberals go crazy about gun control? How would taking away firearms from responsible citizens stop massacres like this from happening? Do you think the criminals will actually give a crap about what the laws are? They want to kill and they will do anything they can to do so, whether or not we have "gun control" or not. How are those drug laws working out for us? Just causing more death... Rarely does someone protecting themselves and others with their legal carry make the news. Just a few days ago a 71 year old man saved those people in the cafe by shooting 2 armed robbers....But as soon as something like this happens the liberals go crazy and start attacking every gun owner as if they are going out shooting up stores every night.

...Also what difference does it make if he had an AR-15 or a Glock? If he had an M16 w/ 3 round burst or full auto that would be a different story, but civilians can't buy those now can they? A bullet will kill, whether it's a .223 or 9mm. You can hit someone in the leg with a rifle and they will survive, but hit a vital organ with a 9mm and they will die. Do people even think about this stuff or do they just start attacking the 2nd amendment as soon as they see 'gun' and 'massacre'....?

I think every time there is a massacre or other similar tragic event, this board should be shut down for about a week.

Because children should have the right to go to the movies and not be shot with an assault rifle.

also banning guns would only take them away from legal owners. Most criminals have unregistered guns so when the cops go to round up all the guns they just look at the records of who legally owns a gun and takes them away, but the people who have them illegally are obviously not traceable because the cops don't know they have them

And on the other side, you have Conservatives screaming for everyone to carry around shotguns.

See, I can make stupid generalizations/assumptions too.

Edit:
Check your side. Everyone is making assumptions and asking stupid questions. I'm not being biased about it.
