It makes no sense. Nobody should serve 20 years in prison for selling drugs, regardless of its legality. I wish they'd allow us to sell crack cocaine as we please instead of interfering with the very essential process, because trade helps improve our lives, doesn't it? Without crack cocaine, society would be in a much more chaotic state than before.
Since 1973, crack cocaine abuse has run rampant across the world's industrial nations. Businesses were shut down due to intoxicated employees suffering the dramatic effects of cocaine. Children were being born with deformed limbs. Many doctors believed that crack was the cause, and studies proved little to support the idea.
Law behaved aggressively in response to "suspicious" antics such as meet-ups, gang representation, and tinted windows. Results of confrontation led to broken bones, violation of privacy, and other critical damage, some call it abuse. In the late 80's to early 90's, several hip hop artists commented on these abusive police forces. Rap group N.W.A released the controversial song "**** tha Police." The song described alleged pushy procedures officers at the time resorted to. That changed our view of the authorities.
Moral of the story: Every man has a free will - don't take it away from us.
