Why pretend this is an outright ban?

Postby celeste » Sat Jul 21, 2012 6:46 am

Under current law. If I own a bar, I am the only one allowed to be armed in it. So if a man comes in, with a gun in his hand. I can shoot him. I don't have to wait for him to start killing people.

Why change this and force me, the property owner, to allow everyone walking into my bar to come armed? It's my bar, don't I have any right to say what goes on, on the premises?

Of course you do.

Responsible gun owners know that firearms aren't allowed in bars in any state, but it would be sensible to have a sign that reminded them of that fact. I am not aware of any state that prevents businesses from having a sign that prohibits firearms for any reason or none at all.

No one but the bar owner should have a gun. Alcohol and booze don't mix. I hope they don't change the law because this is an accident waiting to happen.

I just looked this up and it's crap. I think whatever state your in it's time to get will restaurant owners and other bar owners and start a petition. This law is playing with peoples lives. You don't need a gun to drink or to eat and I think many would agree with that.

anyway problem is u.s. militia did not use these to acces compounds of white supremacists gain respect for militias back .F.B.I. in this case find it incomprensible that explosives are for self defence and milirary use .

Your bar, your rules. There is no law against a private property owner banning firearms from his/her property. For example, Century 16 bans eveyone but law-enforcement from carrying firearms.
