Why Were The Motorcyle Helmet Regulations Suspended?

Not all states have repealed their helmet laws for adult. The few that have is because of pressure. Motorcycle manufacturers using campaign contribution to state legislatures, and the growth of motorcycle clubs(not gangs) was able to pressure their state legislatures to recind or modify the laws.   As the 'babyboom' generation became successful enough to afford motorcycles, the motorcycle clubs started to grow from a few thousand to several million members. In some States the membership had high enough numbers to have a major influence on elections.
