Will I get charged with violation of a protection order?

Postby broehain61 » Sun Jul 29, 2012 8:07 pm

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Indiana

I am currently on pretrial diversion because I was charged with a class A domestic battery misdemeanor for getting into it with my boyfriend . With it, a no contact order was issued against me. There is also a protection order against his six year old daughter because cps got involved. Cps eventually dropped their investigation. Yesterday my friend told me that my boyfriends baby mama was upset and screaming and got their six year old daughter to say she saw me even though she didn't. She just said that because her mom made her. The cops apparently came and went to my boyfriends house to look for me but of course I wasn't there. Then the cops started saying how they were gonna get a warrant on me and took my boyfriends daughter from him and let her mom have her for now.

This is a trusted friend who told me this. I have had issues withmy boyfriends baby mama and have facebook messages where she even apologized for being mean to me. I know she manipulated her daughter to lie and by her daughter being so young, she's of course going to follow her moms course of words. I'm currently almost 6 months pregnant with his baby and got pregnant before the domestic violence situation happened. I don't want to go to jail because of a stupid lie from a jealous baby mama. I looked online and a warrant hasn't been issued yet, probably because it's the weekend. What do I do? Is there a chance the cops will try to charge me even though they did not physically see me there because I was not! I need advice on what to expect. Aside from my current pretrial diversion, I've never been in trouble with the law before and it's upsetting that baby mama is starting that much trouble! Plus I'm pregnant with my first baby so I don't need jail time. Please help with advice.

Do you realize what a soap opera this all is? The best thing you can do is get yourself out of this world of "baby mamas" and irresponsible men who have children scattered all over the place. How can you want to live like this? Your new baby certainly doesn't deserve to be drug into this sort of shabby and tacky world. When this court situation is over, for God's sake have some self-respect, get your act together and find a better class of men. You will have more to think of than just yourself soon. You need to get some education, a good job and not have any more children until you have a stable life and a way to support them.

Hope your court case goes well and I hope it is your last.
